Adolescence: identity, limits, sectarianism

Abstract

In this article, we firstly intend to summarize the meaning of adolescente the basic tendencies of peer grouping and the importance of setting bounderies. Secondly, we argue that like in any process of change, adolescents face the increasing tension of ceasing to be a child. Lastly, we will approach the concept of fundamentalism. Indeed, many characteristics of this thought are present in the adolescent mind. Hence, putting one at risk of falling into fanatical thinking and sectarianism. Through this, we will formulate a clinical definition of fanaticism and present some tips to reduce this tendencies.
