With the passage of time, the classical setting has been modified. Different socio-cultural factors have established the tendency to reduce the frequency of sessions and shorten the duration of treatment. In this paper we will reflect on the frequency of sessions and the time, considering them important but not defining elements of the application of the psychoanalytic method.
