Is human suffering only conceivable from the state of a viscera? Mind and brain are the same? Is human being the competence of science? Can we reduce the specificity of an existential pain to pure neurological data or to the genetic endowment? Psychoanalysis must pronounce on these questions that concern both the training of new mental health professionals and the information that circulates in the social context.
